Sun, snow and salt air are hard on wood. We clean and prep decks, fences and porch floors, then stain or paint them so they are protected for the seasons ahead.
We work on cedar and pressure-treated lumber, from a small back deck to a wraparound with railings and built-in benches. Stain keeps the grain showing on newer wood; a solid color covers older, weathered boards. We will tell you which we would choose and why.

Should I stain or paint my deck?
It depends on the wood and how worn it is. Stain shows the grain and suits newer wood; a solid color covers older, weathered boards. We will tell you what we recommend at the estimate.
When is the best time to stain a deck?
Late spring through early fall, on dry days with the wood fully dried out. Summer books up, so it helps to call early.
